About the School Directress
Joselina Santiago-Cartagena or Teacher Josie came from a family of educators. An uncle retired as an Assistant Superintendent, an aunt retired as a teacher and another as a grade school principal, and her older sister a multi-awarded grade school principal as well, all from the public school system.
Since teaching runs in her blood, she was slowly led to become an educator, in spite of her AB Economics and Master in Urban and Regional Planning degrees from the University of the Philippines. She went back to UP in 1991 in preparation for her career change and took up Master in Family Life and Child Development. She is currently enrolled in PhD in Special Education from the same university.
Teacher Josie is happily married, with 2 kids, both graduating college students one of whom is majoring in special education.
